Work bags or business bags as they are often called, are made with highly treated leather to match the professional appearance of business attire. MESSENGER BAG
Messenger bags were, as the name suggests, used by early messenger to transport valuable documents and letters. Messenger bags are worn on the back with the strap going across the wearer’s chest. This is why they are mostly small and lightweight. Originally made from different materials, today most are made in leather and usually only have one internal space.

LEATHER BACKPACKS FOR MEN
Manly Stuff sells leather and canvas backpacks. Canvas backpacks are smaller, lighter and very practical, whereas leather backpacks are for the discerning man who wants something special.
All of our leather backpacks are made from 100% genuine cowhide. We mostly use highly treated leathers because of their smooth and uniform appearances as well as the good protection they offer against different weather conditions.
BACKPACK MAINTENANCE
Leather and canvas should not be treated or maintained in the same fashion. Please refer to the cleaning and maintenance advice given below.
CANVAS BACKPACKS
Canvas is a woven textile fabric made primarily of flax and should be treated the same way as other textile materials.
- Canvas does not require extra protection from penetrating sprays.
- Avoid using any kind of chemicals or detergents. Stick to warm water as much as possible.
- For stains that hot water cannot handle, you can used a little mild detergent mixed with water on a toothbrush to gently brush away the stain.

The gym bag goes by many names and covers a range of weekenders and duffels designed for an exact purpose. A leather bag with heavier processing is easier to clean but doesn’t have the same looks-better-with-age quality of lesser-processed leather. Either way, here are a few tips to keep your leather duffel bag looking its best:
- Never clean with detergents or chemicals.
- Keep your bag dry and avoid storing in direct sunlight.
- If the leather gets dry or dull, use a leather grease with beeswax or other natural ingredients.
- Always let it air out after a trip to the gym or a long weekend holiday.

- For tough stains, use a mild detergent mixed with warm water to gently brush the stain away.As with leather bags, let it air out after cramming it with your sweaty gym gear.
