Shaving Soap that acts like a shaving cream…
Yesterday I received my latest purchase from ManlyStuff. I ordered this pot of shaving soap, which initially looked a bit pricey. But considering that I spend the same amount and more on my preferred shaving cream (Truefitt and Hill) I thought I would give it a go.
So, here’s what I think of this shaving soap:
+ Made in Europe (I prefer to buy goods made in Europe, so bye-bye Truefitt & Hill, thanks to Brexit…)
+ I love the packaging: Glass-jar with aluminium screw-on lit in a recycled cardboard box. All easily recyclable.
+ This is titled a soap. It has about the same hardness as a soap, but it looks in the glass more like a shaving cream. Well, as soon as you start whisking your wet shaving brush in the jar you will get a lather, that resembles more the lather of a good shaving cream. – I am impressed…
+ It protects your skin nearly as good as a good shaving cream.
+ Great value for money

– Not all ingredients seem to be natural. I’d pay a few Euros more for all natural ingredients.
– The soap has a nice, chocolatey smell. I personally prefer more spicy fragrances, but this is just my personal preference.
